Step 1: Creating Your Craft

For the purpose of this tutorial, we will be using the AirSkiff craft. Even if you are not making an AirSkiff, you can follow the same process. To start off, you need to create the frame for your craft. Each craft requires different “fly blocks” They are listed in the comments below.

In this example, an airskiff requires at least 50% wool, 8% redstone blocks and its size to be from 10 to 200 blocks. A craft can look however you want as long as you meet the requirements.

Step 2: Preparing Your Craft

In order to make your craft moveable, you need to add some signs. Continuing with the airskiff, you need to place a sign anywhere on your craft saying “AirSkiff” on the first line (without quotes). The process is the same with any craft, just replacing AirSkiff with the craft’s name. Next, you will need a sign saying “[Helm]” again, without the quotes. Optionally, you can also include a “Cruise: OFF”, “Ascend: OFF”, and “Descend: OFF” allowing for cruising, ascending and descending respectively. Ascend and Descend does not work on the Ship craft.

Step 3: Controlling Your Craft

In order to control your ship, you can either use signs, or you use can use a blaze rod. To use a blaze rod, you simply click the craft sign, in this example, the “AirSkiff” sign. You then hold a blaze rod and look in the direction you want to move. If you want to move up, look up and right click while holding the blaze rod. For control with signs, you can right click to toggle the signs you made in “Preparing Your Craft.”

As always, please do not hesitate to contact a staff member if you are having any difficulties.
